Article 360 requires the battery risk assessment to address four separate hazard categories, each with its own PPE determination. This checks the three quantitative ones against your string.

Chemical — electrolyte burns. Assess against equipment design, the SDS, and the condition of maintenance.
Contact thermal — burns from current heating through a dropped tool, a ring or a watch band. Threshold 1,000 W. Independent of voltage.
Electric shock — 100 V and 40 mA DC, 50 V and 5 mA AC.
Arc flash — 150 V DC and 1.2 cal/cm², with the 1 mm-per-volt separation guidance for likelihood.
§ While you are in the room
Article 360 requires battery room and enclosure signs to carry electrical hazards (shock, arc flash and thermal), chemical hazards, and a PPE and access notice. Where multiple chemistries share a room, the chemical warning must reflect the worst case present. Most existing signs predate the thermal requirement.
